If your water is not hot enough, there can be several reasons for the problem. You can take a few steps to determine if your boiler is in disrepair.
First, for the easy fixes:
Make sure the unit is plugged in and receiving the power it needs. If the light on our unit is on, lack of power is probably not the problem. Alternatively, the problem may be a lack of gas. Make sure both the meter valve and the valve underneath the boiler are open. One method of checking is to turn on the gas cooker. If it works, the gas is probably fine. Finally, check your outdoor pipe. When the weather is particularly cold, the water in there may freeze. In this case, douse it consistently with warm water until it thaws fully.
A more serious problem may involve the pressure gauge. It should be measuring somewhere between 1.0-1.5. If it is malfunctioning, you will also likely hear strange sounds emanating from inside the unit.
